Rivendell Farm began as a desire to own green space that would not be developed.  After a long search, we found it, just a short way from where we already lived.  We started with chickens, knowing we were heading in the direction of sheep, but wanting to get livestock on the place while we were adjusting the small horse barn for the needs of ovines.  We read every book about pasture management, and various types of livestock, that we could get our hands on, and jokingly called ourselves "The YouTube Farmers."  Many a tractor problem was sorted out by watching repair videos!  We are always learning, but things have fallen into a rhythm at the farm.
